Conference Overview

The Government has developed a new area-based and one stop-shop approach to retrofitting in order to upgrade at least 500,000 homes to a B2 energy rating by 2030. SEAI is the designated National Retrofitting Delivery Body charged with delivering this ambitious programme. Energy Ireland, in partnership with SEAI, has organised this year’s National Retrofitting Conference and this will be the third get-together of all the key stakeholders involved in the delivery of the programme.

The objective of the conference is to discuss progress to date and to share any learning from the implementation of the programme. It is also relevant to those organisations that may be interested in getting involved in the programme.

The conference will cover the following themes:
  • Update on the National Retrofitting programme;
  • One-stop-shop approach best practice;
  • Challenges and opportunities in adopting heat pumps in Ireland;
  • Closing the skills gaps in retrofitting;
  • Deep retrofitting in the social housing sector;
  • Non-domestic retrofitting programme;
  • Developing the retrofitting supply chain in Ireland;
  • Engaging the construction sector in the retrofitting programme.
